OUR MISSION

KGM mission is to restore Apostolic Discipleship Foundations to the Body of Christ globally. Working intentionally with the local church, its work is expressed through seven distinct approaches and resources: Life Discipleship (Pastoral Mentoring), Peacemaking Discipleship (Communication and Conflict Management), Purpose Discipleship (Spiritual Identity), Prophetic Discipleship (Normalizing the Supernatural and Embracing a Divine Hebraic Heritage), Peer Discipleship (The Ministry of Fellowship), Intercessory Prayer and Evangelism.  Coupled with these incredible life changing discipleship tools are a host of engaging ministry resources such as a podcast radio, online national prayer network, book clubs, quarterly discipleship discussion forums and online trainings, fellowships, bible studies, special events and so much more. We are also a national fellowship network of missional leaders and intercessors independently serving and collectively supporting and equipping one another as we disciple the world around us. Corporately, as an Apostolic missional organization, we believe we carry a fire of God to lay a firm spiritual foundation in the hearts of God’s people so they might become spiritually equipped, mature, and corporately united in love.  With this fire in their hearts we believe they will live life with divine conviction for the cause of Christ and thereby accomplish his will in the earth passionately and beautifully, in their own unique way.

THE PASSION

Over the past two decades it appears the ministry of discipleship has become an anomaly within our Christian churches, in particular in the US.  The Christian share of adults in the United States has declined sharply since 2007, affecting nearly all major Christian traditions and denominations, and crossing age, race and region, according to an extensive survey by the Pew Research Center.

Seventy-one percent of American adults were Christian in 2014, the lowest estimate from any sizable survey to date, and a decline of 5 million adults and 8 percentage points since a similar Pew survey in 2007.  The decline has been propelled in part by generational change, as relatively non-Christian millennials reach adulthood and gradually replace the oldest and most Christian adults. But it is also because many former Christians, of all ages, have joined the rapidly growing ranks of the religiously unaffiliated or “nones”: a broad category including atheists, agnostics and those who adhere to “nothing in particular.”

As a result, we have seen a significant spiritual shift in the believer's walk of faith, and missional convictions...have you noticed it?

I believe the ministry of discipleship have become a lost art. This loss is very easy to see through the believer's compromised spiritual values, secular life goals and ambitions, and their limited understanding and experience of basic spiritual disciplines.  In particular in the minority and disenfranchised Christian community, it seems economic development (while important) has become the new symbol of a transformed life rather than a transformed heart. Career success, obtaining wealth and social status has become the mark of God’s blessings, rather than a godly character as the crown of their achievements. The Fruits of the Spirit and Spiritual gifts are optional core values and it is no longer pursued as something to be spiritually "clothed in" and a necessity for effective Christian living and ministry.  "Religious routine and traditions" have become the standard for defining our Christian identity rather than the word of God being made alive in our lives, being mobilized with missional convictions and the power of God manifesting through our ministry to others.

Most certainly, this is NOT what Jesus was speaking of in Matt. 6:33 when He said, “Seek "FIRST" the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you,” and I’m quite sure these were not the kind of “disciples” He was referring to when He said “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel and make disciples of men (Matt. 28:19). So, by properly restoring the "ministry" of discipleship to the Body of Christ, we can clearly see  that God is essentially calling the Church back to her “First Love,” and the foundation in nurturing that is DISCIPLESHIP (Eph. 4:11-16).

BECOMING CHRIST'S AMBASSADOR

2 Corin. 5:20-21

God has made the matter of discipleship a growing passion of my heart in particular for this generation and I believe it is because He is getting His Bride ready for Jesus’ return.  However, what seems to be even more evident is that the growing ills of this generation are inherently making demands on today's believer to be present, authentic and a people who unmistakably bear the love, power and image of Christ in every aspect of who He was (and still is) as revealed on the pages of His holy word.

Through KGM, God is restoring His message and ministry of discipleship to the Body of Christ of which I am calling “Apostolic Discipleship.”  I believe by re-introducing this concept of discipleship, raising awareness and normalizing this term within our church culture; this will help us look at the ministry of discipleship with fresh lenses, and be able to fulfill its distinct transformational work in our lives just as Jesus intended (2 Corin. 5:17, Rom. 12:2-12).

The term Apostolic in Greek simply means “Sent Ones” and merely references the preparation and commissioning that Jesus did with His own disciples. True disciples of Christ will bear the same spiritual convictions and do what the Apostles did….(like Jesus) in purpose, presence and power and Jesus suggested that HIS followers today, would do even greater things (John 14:12).  So if the church is not experiencing this, we have to ask WHY, rather than dismiss it as irrelevant to our lives.

I honestly believe that quality discipleship, the kind that transforms hearts, minds and lives, is the most true marker of a vibrant growing church, not it's number of members. The ministry of discipleship is no doubt the missing link between the life that believers will read about and that which they are actually living out.

Making Authentic Disciples of Christ Equipped for an End-time Generation by

Providing Apostolic Discipleship Training and Resources that Transforms Lives

In June 2013, the Apostolic Institute (AIGL) was founded and served as a discipleship resource and training platform for the Body of Christ both online and on-ground.  Its mission was to effectively disciple Christian believers in the foundations, role, and mission of prophetic ministry with apostolic purpose, presence, and power. Today this mission and work is expressed through "KINGDOM GROWTH MOVEMENTS."

AIGL (in philosophy) did not represent any particular Christian denomination.  Instead, it held to a high standard in representing an uncompromising, sound, holistic, biblical Christian doctrine.

AIGL also  serves as the resource publishing arm for all of the KGM discipleship resources.
