"Getting to the Heart of the Matter"

DISCIPLESHIP, something that has truly become a lost art in the local church today. Believer's become grounded "faith runners" and quality Christian leaders at home, in the workplace, at church, in our communities and even in our nation, all through quality discipleship. Discipleship is more than Sunday School or weekly Bible study class. True discipleship involves mentoring, spiritual parenting, specialized training and a program that is uniquely designed to help the believer become what they were divinely meant to be in God's Purpose, Presence, and Power. Discipleship should equip the believer for divine deployment; launching them into the world as a godly man, woman, child, husband, wife, parent, community member, professional, business leader, etc. This is not an easy thing to do and it will require the anointing and gifts of many leaders to accomplish this effectively.

Becoming educated and equipped is just one stage of discipleship. The long journey of weathering the divine process of development and character perfecting is the second stage. Then, discovering your platform and your prophetic walk upon that platform is where your life in Christ becomes even more greatly glorified. This kind of discipleship only happens when a believer is "hungering & thirsting after righteousness" and this hunger creates a DISTINCTION in the believer's life. Cultivating spiritual hunger (not routine) in a believer’s heart and life is no easy thing to achieve because it is imparted by the Spirit of God. This is the missional work of Apostolic discipleship and its overall agenda is to ”Mobilize the Body of Christ to Impact the World.”

The key distinction of Apostolic Discipleship is that the the disciple will become missional in heart and in their personal call. They will be passionate to represent Christ with humility and sound biblical truth. They will have a profound spiritual confidence and pride as a Child of God with love and unity for the universal family of God. Finally, there will resonate in their spirit a nature of Christ that was common to His Apostles, and they will share His convictions and demonstrate the power of God as a way of life in whatever they do and wherever they go. The Art of becoming "Spiritually Skillful"

This is in essence, the over all approach in discipleship that addresses what it means to be Apostolic. Apostolic in this respect is NOT a religious denomination, a religious title or position. Apostolic Discipleship is a method that cultivate spiritual identity, a mandate and a mindset that mobilizes a believer to walk a fully committed and disciplined life essentially as Christ's Ambassador on the earth in his purpose, presence and power. This is how Jesus' disciples were groomed in life and in ministry and according to Eph. 4:11-16, this approach and mission has not changed.

So, whether you feel called to a work in ministry or business, Apostolic leadership is cultivated in the heart and mind FIRST. So the big question for leaders of this kind is, "Are you REALLY ready for the call?"To REALLY know what it means to "Take up your cross and follow Jesus"

WHAT IS Life DISCIPLESHIP?

This is a 3-month one-on-one specialized discipleship experience. When matters of the heart, mind, and spirit become overwhelming and there is a need for a more personalized long-term work of direct ministry, one-on-one Life Discipleship or Pastoral Mentoring may be the answer.

Life discipleship of this kind is a priceless gift in ministry and very often a labor of love from those willing to commit their time. This form of ministry is funded through free will offering from the recipient. (Luke 10:7, 1 Tim. 5:17-18, Matt. 10:10 and 2 Corin.9:6-7)
